Today is the last Torah Portion and then we start all over again. If I look back, there were such a lot of blessings in the Portions I cannot lift one out and say this was the best. Make sure you get something out of every portion. Life is a learning process that never ends.
When we break bread with our brethren, let us not look at our differences in the word. If we hammer on the way we look at things, we are again in the Garden of Eden eating of the tree of knowledge. Let us move away from the serpent and the tree where he deceived Eve. Let us go straight to the tree of life. Torah—-let us eat from the tree of life. We don’t have all the answers, but let the Ruach Ha’Kodesh open the living Torah for us. Let’s pray to our Elohiem to open our spiritual eyes and ears.
The Torah way of life is like an archer shooting at a target to hit the precise centre of the bull’s-eye. That is Torah. If he shoots a second arrow at the same target again, the second arrow must split the first arrow. Our Messiah set the example for us, He was our living Torah. We as humans cannot do this, and we are only human and miss the target a lot of times. There is no big sin or a small, little sin. If you miss the bull’s-eye with an inch or with a mile. You missed the target. Yeshua walked the Torah for us to be a living example for us. If we missed the target, the Torah clears our vision, steady our hand and guide us closer.
Make sure you get something out of every portion. Shma is not only just to listen. It contains 3 steps. First you hear, that is to take it in, to shmar, to keep it inside and brood over it. Lastly, to asah. To act and walk it out. The Torah must change you. Your way of life must be like salt to those who came into contact with you. It must ad taste to their life. The salt will make them thirsty and the living waters –Torah will quench their thirst.
