Faith or Fear: Which Is Biggest In Your Life?

Let us talk about fear. All of us sometime through life experience fear. When we were little, most, if not all of us were afraid of the dark. When we grew older the fear went away. Other fears replaced the fear of darkness as we grow older. These were also replaced as we win some and overcome some of them. But deep down inside it stays. To the rest of the world we look brave and strong but we cover it up and pretend all is well. The fear of crime, the fear of death, the fear of sickness, the fear of losing a loved one, the fear ….  and we can go on.

If you don’t get rid of fear, it will surface again and torment you for the rest of your days. What does Scripture tell us about fear? Can you as a believer in Yeshua Messiah be afraid? What does ABBA/FATHER say about fear? Our Messiah who gave His life to take away the sin of the world…….what does HE say about fear.

Gen 26:24  And יהוה appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the Elohim of your father Aḇraham. Do not fear, for I am with you, and shall bless you and increase your seed for My servant Aḇraham’s sake.”

Deu 20:3  and shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: You are drawing near today to battle with your enemies. Do not let your heart faint, do not fear, or tremble, or be afraid before them

Deu 31:6  “Be strong and courageous, do not fear nor be afraid of them. For it is יהוה your Elohim who is going with you. He does not fail you nor forsake you.”

2Ch 20:15  and he said, “Listen, all Yehuḏah, and you inhabitants of Yerushalayim, and Sovereign Yehoshaphat! Thus said יהוה to you, ‘Do not fear, nor be afraid of the face of this great army, for the battle is not yours, but Elohim’s.

In the Old Testament there are 308 sentences which contain the word fear. There are two kinds of fear. The first one is a negative fear and is a lie of the enemy. This is one of the weapons of the enemy. He can restrict you to live a life inside the boundaries of fear. This can bind you because you put your fear first and your faith last. To fear is to have no faith. You can’t have both of them, the choice is yours. The positive fear is the fear of your ELOHIEM. That is the only fear that must be deep down inside .That is also the beginning of wisdom.

Job 28:28  And He said to man, ‘See, the fear of יהוה, that is wisdom, and to turn from evil is understanding.’

Jer 10:7  Who would not fear You, O Sovereign of the nations? For this is Your due, for among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their reigns, there is none like You.

Isa 43:1  But now, thus said יהוה, your Creator, O Yaʽaqoḇ, and He who formed you, O Yisra’ĕl, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name, you are Mine.

Faith will overcome all negative fear, CHOOSE LIFE IN YESHUA.

Rev 21:8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Hab 3:19  יהוה the Master is my strength. And He makes my feet like those of deer, And makes me walk on my high places.

Psa 18:33  Making my feet like the feet of deer, And sets me on my high places,

Mat 6:26  “Look at the birds of the heaven, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into storehouses, yet your heavenly Father does feed them. Are you not worth more than they?

Mat 12:12  “How much more worth is a man than a sheep! So it is right to do good on the Sabbath.”

Your faith in ELOHIEM is more important than your fears.

2Ki 17:39  “But fear יהוה your Elohim, so that He delivers you from the hand of all your enemies.”

 Shalom Israel.
