The Return of Yahushua our Savior Part 2

This is part 2 on the coming of Yahushua.

As I have already shown I beg to differ from them.

Does Matthew (24 : 29 – 31) not state very clearly that, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days, darkness will be on the earth,…. then the sign of the son of man shall appear in the heavens, and the tribes of the earth shall see the son of man coming in the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together (harpazo) His elect (bride) from the four winds – from one end of heaven to the other”.

The word, “then” (the sign of the son of man) indicates continuation. Immediately after the tribulation there will be darkness all over the earth for a while, and then suddenly, shekinah light all over the earth and the appearance of our savior to gather together His bride.

The whole world will become dark. Matthew says, “The sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light. The stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heaven shall be shaken”.

Does Mark (13: 24 – 27) not write the same thing practically word for word. Luke wrote practically the same but left out, for some reason, the gather together part. Would you accept the witness of just two apostles? But wait – there’s another one.

Are we not told by Paul, in 1 Thessalonians 4: 15 – 17, that when the dead are raised, the living will be raptured at the same time. We discover, hence, that those who are alive will be changed, in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, and will meet the dead in the clouds to join up with Yahushua in the air. Matthew wrote that Yahushua will be in clouds as we see above in Paul’s teaching.  Therefore we can safely say that the resurrection and the rapture of the saints will happen simultaneously. If the gathering together of the elect occurs after the tribulation of “Jacobs troubles,” then the resurrection of the dead “in Messiah,” will coincide. Even though there are two resurrections there cannot be two raptures. There will be one resurrection before the millennium and one after. The overwhelming proof is that Yahushua will gather His bride to Himself immediately after the tribulation of those days.

And most important of all, does Paul not say, in 1 Corinthians 15: 52 & 53, that the dead shall be raised to incorruption at the sounding of the last trumpet (7th). The seventh and last trumpet announces the appearance (epiphanea) or the sign of the Son of Man in clouds in the heavens (sky).  How many trumpets are blown in the second woe (in the second group of plagues)? The seventh is the last, and after the bride has been snatched away, another seven angels will prepare to empty the bowls of our Gods wrath upon the earth. Only then (after the rapture), will the seven bowls of His wrath be poured out on the earth (Rev 16), because they would not take head to His warnings. However, the elect saints will obviously not be on earth then.

We read in Revelation 10: 7, “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel when he shall begin to sound (when he blows the trumpet), the mystery of our God should be finished, as He has declared to His servants the prophets”.  In other words; the probation period is over and if you are not chosen; you will be left behind. Then in Revelation 11: 15, after the seventh trumpet (last trump), is sounded, there are victorious exclamations in heaven; “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Messiah”.  This means that Yahushua will have already raptured His bride to heaven, and will, at the appointed time, return to earth and take control of the world to establish His reign on earth, seated on the throne of David.

Then in Revelation 15: 1 & 2 it is recorded, just after the seventh trumpet has sounded – just before the seven last plagues are poured onto the earth, John said, “And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels, having the seven last plagues (bowls), for in them is filled up the wrath of our God”. As far as I am concerned, the word “last” and the term “filled up” means it is the end – finished. Then John saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass having harps of God.

We know that the mark of the beast will be forced on humanity during the 42 months period of the beasts reign and we also know that they (who have the mark) will not have part in the kingdom of heaven. These (on the sea of glass), have the victory over the beast and these have just been raptured into heaven to attend the marriage supper of the Lamb.

In Revelation 14 we see the harvest (rapture) of the elect and in 15: 2, John saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, standing on the sea of glass having harps of God. (A similar description of heaven is given in Revelation 1: 1 – 6). In other words, saints in heaven, praising God, after been taken up after the seventh and last trumpet. After this the bowls will be poured out on the earth.

If we look at the sequence of events, we see the beast introduced in chapter 13, the rapture of the elect in 14 and the elect in heaven in 15. Just after that Armageddon is announced in chapter 16 and in chapter 19 we see Yahushua return, to destroy the combatants who are gathered at this place.

I believe that the phenomenon of the darkening of the constellations, referred to in the book of Matthew, will be a clear indication that He is on His way and it is definitely not a coincidence. Let’s go to chapter 24: 29….Immediately after the tribulation of those days, shall the sun be darkened and the moon shall not give her light. The stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heaven shall be shaken.  Wow!  This is not an eclipse of the sun or a blood moon or something of that kind either. This darkening is different and reminds us of the plague of darkness in Egypt and also the sudden darkness on the day that Yahushua died. It wasn’t a thunder storm which darkened the skies that afternoon when He died. This phenomenon is commanded by God. I’ve been shown the same occurrence in the prophets as well, and every one of them to do with the tribulation. Please read these two witnesses. Isaiah and Joel. Isaiah 13: 9 –13; Isaiah 24: 19 – 23; Joel 2:1 -2; Joel 2: 31; Joel 3:15 &16.

The birth pains are happening now but, they are only the beginning of sorrows. When these signs, mentioned above start, then we must be prepared for His immanent arrival. The sun, moon and stars will be dull. The days will be dusky and the nights cold and black 4like pitch. But the sign of the Son of Man will follow shortly after (30 days) and the brightness thereof will be magnificent in its power and very glorious. When suddenly the shekaina light of our God, permeates the whole world, Yahushua will be seen on clouds of glory, reaping the harvest of saints on earth and then taking them to His house (immediately after the tribulation of those days).

What I’m saying, is that we must read what Yahushua says, and identify the signs of the times just prior to His coming, so that we are not deceived. In other words; don’t be deceived by preconceived ideas without your own thorough investigation.

Ok, let’s continue…….

The next time that the world sees Yahushua, to rapture his bride, He will arrive in or on clouds of glory. How do I know this? The angels said so. Our God’s presence is often represented in clouds, accompanied by thunder and lightning, as we can see in the seal, trumpets and bowl plagues. Read about how our God shows Himself in the book of Exodus, but now, turn to the book of Acts 1: 9 &11. We read – And while they beheld Him, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. This is a description of rapture. (I believe that the clouds mentioned are a heavenly host of angels; the witnesses referred to in the book of Hebrews). Then the angels said, “Why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Yahushua, who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner, as ye have seen Him go”. Now it’s obvious that the angel did not actually mean them who were watching Him go but those in the future who are familiar with the sings of His arrival. So, that means that as they saw Him go into heaven so we will see Him come from heaven. As the cloud received Him so it will bring Him back the very next time we see Him.

There are a few verses, in scripture, which attest to the fact that when Yahushua next makes an appearance He will first be seen in heaven or in the sky or in the air on a cloud or in clouds (only the terminology varies).

Matthew 24; 30, Mark 13: 26 and Luke 21: 27   – “And then shall they see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory”.  Say what !……They will see Him coming on clouds. That’s right, that’s what the scripture says. They will see Him coming on clouds.  These verses show the “epiphanea” of the “harpazo”, on clouds.

Mark 14: 62 –…..” and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of power and coming with the clouds of heaven…”.  But the most important scripture, 1 Thessalonians 4, also speaks of the bride being caught up together in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. The apostle John records in Revelation 1: 7 – “Behold, He cometh with clouds and every eye shall see Him”.   Looks like the guys paid attention in class. The four of them wrote the same information. That’s four “witness” scriptures showing Jesus coming on clouds of glory and then gathering His bride to take her to his house to consummate the marriage.

This is definitely the “harpazo” not the “parousia”.  What’s really interesting though, is that they all also record that every eye shall see Him, when He comes on clouds. There is no such thing as a mysterious disappearing of people all over the secretrapture

I know, I’m being very elaborate with the underlining, but I need to stress this fact. It’s not shown in the “Left behind” series. They prophecy a secret and silent disappearing of Saints, which no one will see. They say that the above information pertains to the moment when Yahushua sets foot on earth, but that is not true; because this scripture clearly shows a gathering of His elect (bride) in clouds in the air from one end of heaven to the other (Matthew 24: 31). There is no mention here of Him setting foot on the Mount of Olives on earth as He will do when He returns with His bride. This is the rapture at the same time as the first resurrection.

There will be no mistake to what is going on when Yahushua comes to claim His bride. It’s going to be a noisy affair, as well, with shouting and the sound of a trumpet (Yom Teruah) which gets louder and louder. Oh, there will be pandemonium; terror and mourning but only for those whose names have been erased from the book of life, because they will not go with Him. They will be left behind, the probation period is over. Yahushua will go in with His bride and close the door – final.

BUT wait a minute now

How do we reconcile this coming in clouds with Revelation 19:11?  which reports –  “And I saw heaven opened, and behold – a white horse, and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True and in righteousness He doth judge and make war”.  No mention of clouds (?). “And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses”.  No mention of the sounding of any trumpet (?).  This is because Yom Teruah has passed.

We can clearly see that the rider of the white horse is Yahushua Himself. But, who are those clothed in fine linen, following on white horses? In verses 7 and 8, we see that Yahushua’s wife has made herself ready. And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright. It is the bride, who is to be clothed in fine linen, isn’t it, spotless and without blemish.  Aah Ha!  This must be “her” as they follow Yahushua out of heaven, on white horses. The other riders are the host of all angels from heaven.

Although it does not say that He sets foot on the earth, we clearly see from scripture, that He comes out of heaven to make war on earth. Coming down – not going up. How do we know this? We read in Revelation 19:14 ….and the armies which were in heaven, clothed in fine linen, followed Him on white horses….. Where do you suppose they’re going? Or should I rather say – coming. DOWN TO EARTH. This sentence alludes to the idea that His army, were in heaven (at the marriage supper) but now they are coming out of heaven following Yahushua down to earth. When we think logically, we know that He is coming down to earth, because the beast and the false prophet, who are obviously on earth, are arrested soon after His arrival and thrown into the lake of fire. Check it out – And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse, and against His army, and the beast was taken and the false prophet with him”.  Please take notice that the devil has not been arrested with them. In this scripture we see that Yahushua is coming down to earth to make war with the beast and his army.  We can clearly see here that the beast, who has mustered an army at Har Megido, also sees Yahushua coming with an army. This is proof that there are plans to make war. But then Yahushua arrives and sets foot on the earth (Mount of Olives). He is specifically coming down to earth to destroy the beast and his army, who have persecuted His elect for seven long years. And they (the bride), will rule and reign with Him forever as He establishes His millennium reign on earth. We also discover that it is not going to be a nuclear war either, because verse 21 tells us that Yahushua, will annihilate the army of the beast, with the sharp sword which proceeds from His mouth.

But wait, let me get back. Where was I now? Oh! Yes.

It would appear that there are two comings of Yahushua. Once in clouds and again on horseback.

Can’t be, but how do we reconcile this then.

There are many commentators of the Bible, who interpret two phases in Yahushua’s second coming.  The above information shows that, in the first phase, He is seen on clouds claiming His bride and in the second phase, He comes from heaven down to earth, with his bride, to make war with the beast on earth. One can see this event, celebrated in the feasts of the Jewish people. Tradition has it that they recognize Yom Teruah, in the seventh month and commemorates the prophetic resurrection (and we know form our Scripture that He also catches away His bride). Ten days later they celebrate Yom Kippur. The prophetic significance of this feast is that Messiah will come and set foot on the Mount of Olives. These indicate two phases. Although I am alone on the theory of post tribulation rapture, I also see two phases to the second coming of our Saviour. I like to use the Hebrew marriage ceremony to put this idea together. The bridegroom comes suddenly one day or night to take his wife. This only happens after his father has given him permission. The ten virgins are alerted to his arrival (Mat 25) and accompany the two of them, to his house, which he has painstakingly built to the fathers liking. The marriage is consummated, and a rip roaring party follows. This is what we’re waiting for aren’t we – for the Father to send the Son to claim or redeem His bride from the earth. Blessed are those who are invited to this feast – the marriage supper of the Lamb.

The first phase is called, in Greek, the harpazo. This is the actual snatching away of His bride in the air (1 Thess.4 and Matthew 24). The second phase is called, in Greek, the parousia. This is the time when Yahushua returns, with His bride, (Rev 19:14) to defeat the beast and then to be welcomed by a tumultuous and joyous multitude on entry into Jerusalem on a magnificent white horse. You can get an idea of this in Matthew 21, only that time He was riding on the colt of a donkey.

These two phases are accompanied by the Greek words epiphanea and apokalupto. Epiphanea occurs on both occasions when Yahushua appears because that is what the word means. In the first phase He suddenly appears in clouds and then He appears on the white horse in the second phase. Apokalupto can be used to describe the revealing of Jesus, as the true Messiah.  The same word can be used for when the beast will be revealed (apokalupto), as the false Messiah, and can also be used when Jesus reveals the marks of the salvation covenant on His body. Everyone will fall on their knees and confess that Yahushua is King of kings and Lord of lords.

Check the meanings of these words for yourself, especially Apocalupto, which can also be used when a car is presented, for the first time onto the market. It is called an “unveiling”.

In his : Studies in the Vocabulary of the Greek New Testament” ; K.S. Wuest interprets the word Rapture so:

Harpazo. This is a Greek word, which has various meanings. The meanings are as follows: “to seize”,   “ to carry off by force”, “to claim for oneself eagerly”, “to snatch out” or to “snatch away”. It was used proverbially in the sense of, “to rescue from the danger of destruction”. It was also used of, “divine power, transferring a person marvelously and swiftly from one place to another”. The proverbial use of the word can be seen in Jude verse 23, where we are told to save some with fear “pulling them out of the fire”, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh (can you see a “snatch away” here). We can also see harpazo used at that time when Paul was forcefully taken from a crowd of people who wanted to kill him. We remember also how Phillip suddenly disappeared from the sight of the Eunuch and appeared again miles away in another city.

I, therefore, believe that if the term; “caught up together” which means harpazo, can be used to describe rapture, then the term, “gather together” also qualifies as a term which describes the rapture or harpazo, using the explanation of, “to claim for oneself eagerly” and therefore both Matthew and Paul describe the rapture and these must not be mistakenly used as a description of the joyous parousia of Jesus actually entering into Jerusalem.

Parousia: This means the welcome that is given to dignitaries coming to visit. When Jesus comes it will be said, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.” This is besides the “Halleluyah” and “Hosanna” and the waving of palm leaves and banners. A very joyous occasion. At last the rightful King will take charge of the world.

Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the darkening of the cosmos will occur – dark and cold. Then the seventh and last trumpet sounds, then the sign of the Son of Man, coming in His shekinah glory, will suddenly appear in the sky, in clouds, (epiphanea), and the dead will be raised incorruptible (resurrection of saints 1 Corinthians 15: 52 -53). He will come in clouds, with a shout and the loud sounding of this seventh trumpet and the bride who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with the resurrected dead in the clouds, to meet our savior in the air (harpazo – 1 Thessalonians 4 and Matthew 24). Everyone on earth will see (apokalupto), and realize, “Hey it’s true what the Christians said; He came back”. They will also look on in amazement as the people who are called “the bride”, are supernaturally being raised into the sky to meet Him in the air. But then, just as suddenly as He comes, He will whisk her away into heaven for a while, to celebrate the marriage supper of the Lamb, consummate the marriage (Perry Stone teaches this) and then to show her the mansions which He has been preparing for her. He said He was going to prepare a place for her didn’t He (John14: 3). The people “left behind” on earth will be devastated, bewildered and very, very angry. But then, a little while later, every human will again be astonished when He returns (epiphanea of Rev19:11), this time on a magnificent white horse accompanied by His bride, as an army from heaven, with the whole host of angels, also mounted on white horses. He will set foot on the Mount of Olives and declare Himself to be the King of kings.

Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Yahushua is King of kings, when He reveals the marks of the covenant on His body (apokalupto). In other words, the truth of His identity will be uncovered or revealed. Yahushua will capture the beast and the false prophet and they will also go down on their knees and confess that He is the King of kings. Then He will throw them into the fire (Rev 19:20) and destroy the army, which gives them their power (the ten nations Rev 17). He will then be welcomed when He enters Jerusalem, in pomp and ceremonial splendor (parousia), with palm leaves and shouts of Hosanna and take His place on David’s throne to establish His rule on earth. Our King will not only reign for 1000 years; He will reign for eternity. The 1000 years is just the period of time that the devil will be incarcerated, and after that – Gog and Magog !

So, when will Yahushua come again and gather us together to Him ?

  2. Amen! There’s nothing in scripture to support the notion of a “secret rapture.” The secret rapture theory dates back to the 1830s. It was taught by Darby and Miller.. One question: Although Revelation 14: 14 does speak of the Son of Man reaping the righteous (because the harvest is ripe),doesn’t the remainder of chapter 14 picture the angels reaping the unrighteous and throwing them into “the winepress of the wrath of God?” I believe this is a picture of what Yeshua described in Mathews 13: 36-43. The wheat and tares grow up together, but when the harvest is ripe at the “end of the age,” the tares will be reaped by the angels and thrown into the fire, but the righteous will “shine forth like the sun” (Daniel 12 3).:

I believe that the rapture and the Second Coming occur at the same time for the reasons you pointed out. I know that believers are not part of the wrath. Much of Revelation is a mystery to me although I’ve read it a number of times. Your point about the dead being raised first is right on. .

Regarding Perry Stone, he is coming to speak at my Messianic Jewish congregation this Friday and will speak through Sunday. I can hardy wait. Will probably write about in on my blog.

Thanks for your post. I haven’t read Part I, but I plan to next. Blessings!

Hi Sheryl, thanks for reading me posting. You are absolutely correct about Rev 14 being the harvest of the righteous and the unrighteous and also accompaning this scripture to Matthew 13. I also see it that way. You might find the same concept in the parable in Matthew 25, qwhere the righteous are likened to sheep and the unrighteous are likened to goats.
I teach the second coming as been one occurance but accomplioshed in two phases. “Harpazo” and then “Parousia”.The harpazo (rapture) occurs at the same time as the first resurrection, where the dead will rise first (Thess) and then those who are allive will be caught up together in the clouds to meet Yahushua in the air, when He appears (Matthew 24).He will then whisk them away to heaven to show her the home which He has prepared for her. After the marriage supper of the Lamb is over, He will ereturn to earth, with her and all the heavenly host to punish those who persecuted His bride during the tribulatrion period (Rev 19). He will then approach the city on His white horse (Parousia), and take His place on the throne of David, and His bride will rule and reign with Him on earth for one thousand years.
The wrath of our God, will occur at the pouring out of the seven bowls onto the earth while the bride is in heaven consumating the wedding and been shown her new home which He has painstakingly prepared for her according to His fathers standards.
There are two resurrections. One before the millenium and the other after the millenium. The rapture will occur at the same time as the first resurrection. These are the those who accept the savior Yahushuah. The second resurection will occur after the millenium at the judgment of the White Throne.
Ask Perry Stone to describe the marriage ceremony of the Hebrew people, and how it is a shadow picture of the return of Messiah.
      Shalom beloved of Yahushua.

      1. Hi Norman,

Thank you so much for your in-depth reply. It’s nice to know that I’m not alone in believing that believers will go through the Tribulation and that the 2nd Coming and the Rapture occur at the same time. I’m not as familiar with Revelation 19: 7–20: 6 as you are, so I looked it up just now and read it. I see where Chapter 19 is about the marriage supper and the Messiah riding a white horse and coming with the armies of heaven.

But I find Rev. 20: 5 confusing. “The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection.” The FIRST resurrection???–after the thousand years are complete? Help! Every time I think I’m beginning to understand Revelation, I find a verse that throws me off.

  3. P.S. Regarding Perry Stone, I think he is a Pre-tribulationist and believes in a number of resurrections. I disagree with him on that, of course, but I’m fascinated by his visions and his take on dreams and visions. I doubt that I will get a chance to speak with him personally. We’re expected an enormous crowd.

Back to the Resurrection, here’s something else I can’t grasp. I believe that the Messiah fulfilled the Spring Feasts with his First Coming, and that He will fulfill the Fall Feasts with His Second Coming. I believe that at the last trump, the dead in Christ will rise, but what happens on Yom Kupper (which my rabbi calls the Day of “Purging,” instead of the Day of Atonement). Is the Feast of Tabernacles equivalent to the wedding feast? My apologies if you have all ready addressed these questions in your post.

    1. Norman Mc Dermid

Hey Sheryl, how are you today. Sorry I’ve taken so long to prepare this answer. You have given me opportunity to voice an expression which angers my pre trib rapture theorist friends………THE WAY I SEE IT….and remember where there are two or more gathered together there will be many opinions and theories. Rev 20:5 was confusing untill Irealized that there are two resurections; one before the millenium and one after the millenium. Those who come to life in the first resurrection are chosen and faithful and true but those who only come to life after the 1000 years are ended will not be. There are two resurrections. One before the 1000 years of the devils incarseration and one after. The first resurrection wil occur at the same time as the rapture of the elect/saints. I see this in the scripture of 1 Thesalonians 4 :15 – 17. I see the rapture/harpazo in Matthew 24: 29 – 31 which will occur at the sounding of the “last trump”, as recorded in 1 Corinthians 15: 52 – 53. The last trump will co incide with the feast of Yom Teruah (feast of trumpets). If there is another blowing of a trumpet after Yom Teruah, then my theory falls flat. I am going to stick my neck out here and say that I believe that the elect/bride is a unique, set apart, select group, specially chosenby our sacred God, as wife for His Son. Unique in the fact that he has already divorced Himself form her, but has changed His mind and decided to accept her again (read Hosea), and according to Hebrew marriage custom, the father, in most cases, arranges and choses a wife for his son. THE WAY I SEE IT…resurrected people and those raptured symultaneously (wait for it ), number a remnant of 144000. Sorry if I trundle of the track for a moment. We hear of this number in Rev 14. The verses which brought me to this conclusion (and might be terribly wrong), are 4 and 5. Pay special attention to the words; “These were redeemed from among men (mankind)being the firstfruits unto our God and the Lamb”. This whole sentance, as far as I’m concerned, is rapture terminology. The first fruits of any harvest are special and set apart unto our God, but in this case these firstfruits are offered as a bride unto the Son; because… in their mouth is found no guile; for they are without fault (or blemish) before the throne of our God. Oh yes they will be judged because it is appointed for all to die once and then the judgment. They will be found blameless for they are washed clean by the blood of the Lamb. Now look at the words in v4…….”These are they who follow the Lamb wherever He goes”, and compare with……..”and so shall we ever be with Yahushua”, recorded in 1 Thessalonians 4: 17. This is the first resurection and the rest of the dead did not live again untill after the 1000 years is over. These who are resurrected at the rapture had died once and were judged to live for ever. They will not see the second death – spiritual death – cast into the lake of fire. These are blameless and pure and rule and reign with Yahushua for 1000 years and ultimately will live for ever.
After the 1000 years is ended and the devil is released, he will go out and deceive the nations once again and gather the forces of Gog and Magog to a final battle of rebelion against the King to whom the kingdoms of this world have been given (Rev 11:15 and Luke 19:14 and 27. There will not be a war, only a gathering for our God will rain fire from heaven and they will all be killed and HaSatan will be cast into the lake of fire where the beast and the false prophetalready are. Remember they will be cast into the lake at the battle of Armageddon when Yahushua comes down to earth with his bride on white horses. Now for the second resurrection. In Rev 20 we see a great white throne and the King Yahushua sits on it. In verse 13, the dead are resurrected and in 12 they stand before Him (Matthew 25).It is appointed to everbody to die once and then the judgment. These who stand before the King will be judged according to the books (12), and the Book of Life and their works will be brought into the open. They will be judged according to their works (wicked) and cast into the lake of fire. This is the second and final death and they will be no more.
But what of those whose names “are” written in the Book of Life? This is the first and only time in scripture when the Book of Life is openned and consulted. Would it be safe to assume thet those whose names “are ” written in the Book of Life will receive ever lasting life and go in with the bride into the New Yerushalyam.
Yom Kippur is the feast of Atonement. During this feast the Israelites, as well as the stranger within their gates (Nekar – thats me) are told to afflict their souls. To afflict ones soul, to me, means to dump on yourself or repremand yourself. Most fast but I have no idea how that got started, because scripture does not mention a fast. Maybe it is because the soul becomes sad when the stomack is not fed (Psalms?). I repremand myself and confess my many new sins and request that my God forgive me. I do not eat delicious food, like Daniel once did, and I dedicate the day to Yahushua.
I hope this has helped you some way. Just remember this is…..the way I see it. Shalom beloved – hope to hear from you again if you’re willing to let me bend your ear.

      1. Norman Mc Dermid

Sorry Sheryl. One more thing. I don’t know how the feast of Tabernacles fits into the end time plan, excepting that Zacharyah said that all nations will go up to Yerushalyam during the millenium and more than likely also after when the New Yerushalyam is on the earth.
        Shalom – see ya.

      2. Hi again. Thank you so much for your thoughts on Revelation and the Rapture and the Second Coming. I’m glad that you’re willing to think outside the box. It’s rare that I find someone I can discuss these things with. I attended a Baptist church for a number of years where “the secret rapture” was accepted as fact. I read and re-read scriptures about the Second Coming and the Rapture and always came up with the same answer. They occur simultaneously. I agree that the First Resurrection takes place before the Millennium and “the rest of the dead did not come to life until the 1000 years were complete” (Rev. 20: 5). So the Second Resurrection is after the 1000 year reign of Christ. I’ve never understood this part because the Book of Life is opened, and “anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”

Since you brought this up, you have made me think about this passage much more. It sound as if there will be names in the book of life, and those will not be throw into the lake of fire. I assume that these are people who lived and died during the Millennium. The Believers who were resurrected at the Second Coming need not be concerned about the Great White Throne (Rev. 20: 6) or the “second death.”

This entire passage raises some interesting questions. I’ll try to address a few of them, although I don’t know if my answers are correct or not. Regarding the Book of Life, my Messianic rabbi says that EVERYONE”S name is written in the Book of Life at conception (see Psalm 139: 16). The Book of Life is also referenced in the Torah. (I’ll find the passage later.) Then we learn in Revelation 3: 5 (when Christ addresses the church at Sardis) that one’s name can be ERASED from the book of life. That’s something I was never taught in Sunday school! (Some Christians make a distinction between the Book of Life and the Lamb’s Book of Life, but I think they’re one and the same.).

Next question: WHO will we be reigning over in the Millennium? Could these be people who have never heard the Gospel or understood it? I don’t know. Just wondering.

You mentioned the 144,000 in Rev. 14: 5-6, which is the same group in Rev. 7. All Jewish male virgins. I think the word “virgin” may refer to their faithfulness to God rather than the literal meaning of the word. You make a monumental point about them being the “first fruits.” I don’t know about that extra blast on the shofar, etc. I need to re-read those sections at least half-a-dozen times more and then get back to you.

By the way, Rev. 12, which is about Israel (reminiscent of Joseph’s dream), not the church, seems to divide the first and second halves of the book.. Revelation appears to end–as in “all finished”–in Chaper 11: 15, then it starts up again in Chapter 13. I wonder if Rev. 4-11 and Rev. 13-22 are telling a similar story (like Kings and Chronicles), but in greater detail in Chapters 13-22? I haven’t read Revelation in a while. Your blog makes me want to read and re-examine Revelation again.

One thing that is often overlooked in scripture about the Second Coming is that Yeshua said that He would not return until the Jewish people say, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.”

About the Fall Feasts, I think that the Second Coming, the Wedding Feast, etc. will come in rapid succession following the pattern set in Leviticus 23. I heard Norm Franz (Ascension Ministries) say that the term “no one knows the day or the hour” of Christ’s return is a Hebr[ac expression related to the full moon (or something like that) during (or after?) the Feast of Trumpets. Wish I could tell you more. I pick up bits and pieces of info here and there. My favorite Messianic programs are Sid Roth’s “It’s Supernatural” and Jonathan Bernis’ “Jewish Voice.” Norm Franz is a Gentile but he teaches from a Messianic Jewish perspective.

Regarding fasting on Yom Kupper, we do that at Zion’s Sake. It’s a no work day. (Leviticus 23: 27-32), but I don’t see anything about fasting–now that you mention it. I took part in Yom Kupper last year. I even did a mitzvah (sp?) along with others in the river. So, as you can see, I’m a learner with a long way to go. Your blog is helping me to think things through. Will get back to you soon.

I heard Perry Stone speak tonight and plan to hear him again in the a.m. Will probably write about it on my blog. Thank your for your insights. I look forward to discussing Revelation with you later. Blessings to you, Norman!

  4. P.S. Regarding Zechariah, you’re right. The NATIONS will celebrate the Feast of Booths during the Millennium. I attempted to teach a Baptist Sunday school group about the Fall Feasts several years ago. Frankly, I didn’t know much about the Fall Feasts, but I had read that passage in Zechariah and used that as an example as to why Gentile believers needed to study the Fall Feasts. I explained that the Second Coming would happen during the Fall Feasts. Most Protestants have been taught that the Second Coming could occur at any moment. because sadly Leviticus is largely overlooked. At least it was in the churches I attended until I started attending the Messianic Jewish congregation. (By the way, I don’t mean to pick on the Baptist (lol). After all, I was brought up in the Methodist Church and also attended a Presbyterian and an Episcopal church for awhile.)

Hey Sheryl. How you doing? I first want to say that the way I see it the rapture and the second coming are not simultaneous but occur in two phazes. The first phaze is the “harpazo” (pronounced with a t in front of the z )which will happen at the “last trump” (Yom Teruah) where the dead and the living who have been chosen by the Father for the son, will rise up and meet Him in the clouds in the air.He will then whisk her away into heaven for a while. The second phaze will occur after the marriage supper, when He will return to earth, with his bride and his angels, and actually set foot on earth (mount of olives). He, his bride and the angels will all be mounted on white horses. He and his bride will rule and reign, on earth, for a thousand years. The “kingdoms of this world”, have been given to him (Dan 7+ Mat 28 + Rev 11:15), because the purpose all along is to take his rightfull place on the throne of David. If the rapture and the secon coming were simultaneous, then it would not sync with scripture. Mat 24 tells us that he will appear in heavenon clouds to claim his bride, then in Rev19 we are told that he comes friom heaven with his bride and his angels down to earth where he arrests the “beast” and the false prophet, to cast the m into the lake of fire. If he were to come down to earth immediately after rapturing his bride and set foot on the mount of olives, then what would we do with Rev 19, where we are told that he comes friom heaven again, this timemounted on a white horse, with his bride and all his angels. How can he perform the parousia without a white horse? Just doesn’t fit with age old tradition. I would like to add to this “two phase” concept, an idea which Set Apart Spirit gave to me a couple of years ago when I was struggling with Yahushua’s return. Read Daniel 12: 11 & 12, keeping in mind that the man called the “beast”, will expose himself sometime during the trib period, by saying that he is God so that he as God sits in the “temple” of God, showing himself that he is God (2 Thess 2: 3-4). Thisa will happen sometime during the 42 months of his reign as the single, sovergn ruler of the world (Rev13). Daniel 12: 11-12….and from the time that the daily (sacrifice) is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up (in the Holy of Holies), there will be1290 days (which is 30 days more that 42 months (1260 days), blessed is he who waits, and comes to the 1335 th day. It was a eurika moment. We read in Mat 24:29-31 that immediately after the tribulation of those days (1260), the sun, moon and stars will lose their light. This, the way I see it…..will continue for 30 days, and then the sign of the son of man will appear in heaven……..he will claim his bride from the earth and whisk her away into heaven for a while. They will spend 45 days in heaven and then he will again be seen in heaven coming down to earth mounted on a magnifisent white horse, accompanied by his bride to rule and reign for one thousand years.
      Shalom beloved.

As youhave read, in Rev 13:8, names have been written into the book of life (of the lamb) from the foundation of the world. It is written somewhere that some are called but not all are chosen. In Mathew 25 we read that the righteous are chosen and set on the right hand side of the King (sheep). The unrighteous however, are set on the left hand side of the King (goats), and you know what their destination is. The names of those who do not believe at all, will be erased and they will have the same destination. Their names willl be removed so that Israelites, who suddenly come to the truth, can be put back into the olive tree – from whence they came.
You are absolutely correct when you say that believers resurrected at the first resurrection/rapture (1 Thess 4:15- 17), need not be concerned with the great white throne and the second death.
Question: who will be ruled over during millenium. Matt 24 14 reads…and this gospel, of the kingdom, will be preached in all the world, for a witness (so that no one will have an excuse), unto all nations (everybody will know): and then the end will come. Every human being will know the gospel of the kingdom of the one and only true and real living God, who created everything. This is called.. ” the coming in of the gentiles” and when every gentile who has been chosen to be grafted into the olive tree has come in – then the end will come. Then Yahushua and his bride will rule over all those who are not killed during the 42 months and the wars. These people will be told the truth and then they systematically assimmilated into the kingdom of the New Yerushalyam on earth. They will be told the truth because they will have a valid complaint. It is written in Jeremiah 16:19-21… “surely our fathers have inherited lies – vanity and things wherin there is no profit – shall a man make Gods unto himself; and they are no gods”? They will learn about the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and everyone will know the truth. But not everybody is going to like this idea of been assimillated into this Kings kingdom. The apostle Luke writes….from verse 12…A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom (that is Yahushua), but in verse 27, we read…..but those mine enemies, which would not accept that I reign over them (the nations which join up with Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38&39 and Rev20) – bring them here and kill them before me (Rev 20:9).
Yes that time is fast approaching when the world will say, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of Yahua”.
“No one knows the dsay nor the hour…….is related to Yom Teruah as it is a very special day. It is essential that the witnesses are unanimous as to the sighting of the abib barley which co insides with the new moon on this day. It is the only feast onwhich a trumpet is blown to start the feast and is reminicent of the trumpet which was sounded on the day when the Israelites waited at the foot of Horeb to hear the voice of their God. That trumpet waxed louder and louder – longer and longer. No human is able to blow a trumpet or shofar harder and longer
Catch you later beloved of the way.

Hi there Sheryl. I have just been reading the comments by various people on Tim Mc Hyde, Nehemiah Gordon and Michael Rood. My goodness, I can’t believe that people can’t discern the truth when they are introduced to it. I started to research most of the information I’ve written on the second coming, before I even heard about these great men. I have learnt a lot from Walter Veith, but even he makes mistakes. For instance, he believes that the bride will be kept in heaven for the duration of the 1000 years of the devils incarceration, ignoring completely the scripture which reads….”and they (the bride) will rule and reign with Him for 1000 years”.
I hope that I am not coming over as an arrogant no – it – all. It’s just that I have learnt that prophecy can not be deciffered unless we ask Holy Spirit. Now is the age when the seven thunders, which message John was told not to write down, are been explained. The end time visions of Daniel are now been brought to our knowledge. Ask and you shall receive.
    Bye for now.

  6. Hi there. Somehow I overlooked this (and a couple other) posts above. Sorry. I don’t know how I missed them. No, you don’t come across as arrogant at all. You’ve done amazing research, and I admire you. I’m still baffled by end-times, but, at the same time, I can’t get enough of it. it’s fascinating–especially considering the time that we are living in.

You mentioned the seven thunders coming to light. I’m wondering if you’re familiar with the group “Psalm 119–test everything?” They mention that too.

In a recent article you wrote about the the 10 nations. After reading Alexandra Hislop’s “Two Babylons,” I thought the nations related to the Vatican and Europe. Then I heard Joel Richardson say that the 10 nations are actually nations surrounding israel. He said that “Babylon migrates.” In John’s day, the richest nation in the world was Rome, but now it’s Saudi Arabia. The 7 hills should read 7 mountains (kingdoms), etc. I don’t know. I’m just regurgitating what I’ve heard. Time will tell.

By the way, I had almost finished reading the Book of Enoch on my Kindle when my husband took it over. He finished Enoch and is reading Yasher (Jasher). What a long book! I stumbled across a passage in Joshua (Chapter 10, verse 13) today that refers to the book of Jasher. Thanks for recommending these books.

Hi there good to hear from you again. Sheryl I firmly believe that what the thunders said, which Daniel was forbidden to write, are now been explained to or brought to the attention of those who want to know the truth. The time has come that our Father is explaining His scripture even more clearly than ever. The messianic movement and the desire by some people to test all things, is a result of this. The enormity of Daniel 7: 8 when coupled to 7:21 & 22 has never been realized until now. The fact that the “beast” of Rev 13 is an amalgamation of the governmental styles of the ” lion, bear and leopard”, of ancient Babylon, Medo?Persia and Greek systems, which were prevalent in Rome from the fifth century, and then became the ideal of most countries in the world. We as christians are told the though we are of this “world”, we are not to be part of this world. Another Babylon.
The ten horns (Dan 7) are not identified as been the richest in the world, but by their attachment to the Roman Empire. The ten horns existed as part of the fourth empire (Rome), of Daniels vision. Scripture is clear on this fact and I can prove it from scripture.
The woman (Roman Catholic Church), sits on seven hills of which Vatican is one. The seven mountains are explained by David. C. Pack, check out his web site at
Yes, I am familiar with 119 ministries. These people are now receiving information which the thunders roared, especially on Daniel 9: 27. Yahushua confirmed a covenant with many for one week and then fulfilled half of that week. The other half will be fulfilled by the man who will be the epitomy of the lion, bear and leopard (42 months Rev 13).
The books of Yasher and Enoch also fill in the blanks which we cannot find in scripture (so to say). Shalom sister.
