  1. Thank you!!! I’ve already downloaded the Book of Enoch and the Book of Yasher on my Kindle (they were under a dollar each), but I’d like to download the rest of the books you offer on my reader. Yours is the most comprehensive blog yet on issues that I am exploring and defending.

I am especially interested in reading about Paul and Galations. I suspect that Paul was telling the Galations not to “turn back” to pagan feasts. But most Christians think he was talking about the Jewish feasts–which I remind them are God’s Appointed Times, not feasts for Jews only. I”ve been defending this point all week with another blogger! I quote Acts 15 as evidence that the council gave the new Gentile converts the basics and encouraged them to learn about Moses in the synagogue on the Sabbath.

Your research is the most extensive I have seen thus far. Your blog is simply awesome. If you haven’t already done so, check out “white stone press” or “ascension ministries.” You and Norm Franz are on the same page, metaphorically speaking. He’s not Jewish but he teaches what you do. With gratitude,

    1. Shalom Sheryl!
Thank you for your encouraging comment, I am so glad you downloaded the books, i know you will enjoy them. Please, by all means do download as many books as you want to, that is why we put up an “e-books” page, to spread some useful and thought provoking information. We, however, cannot take all the credit for these books, as it is a collection of books from all over the internet that we have found to be a blessing to us. We hope it will be a blessing to you as well. Regarding Paul, i think you are correct when you say that he told the galatians to not turn back to pagan feasts, in another epistle he says:

See to it that no one makes a prey of you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary matters of the world, and not according to Messiah.
      (Col 2:8, TS98)
So don’t let anyone pass judgment on you in connection with eating and drinking, or in regard to a Jewish festival or Rosh-Hodesh or Shabbat.
These are a shadow of things that are coming, but the body is of the Messiah.
Don’t let anyone deny you the prize by insisting that you engage in self-mortification or angel-worship. Such people are always going on about some vision they have had, and they vainly puff themselves up by their worldly outlook.
They fail to hold to the Head, from whom the whole Body, receiving supply and being held together by its joints and ligaments, grows as God makes it grow.
If, along with the Messiah, you died to the elemental spirits of the world, then why, as if you still belonged to the world, are you letting yourselves be bothered by its rules? –
“Don’t touch this!” “Don’t eat that!” “Don’t handle the other!”
Such prohibitions are concerned with things meant to perish by being used [not by being avoided!], and they are based on man-made rules and teachings.
They do indeed have the outward appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed religious observances, false humility and asceticism; but they have no value at all in restraining people from indulging their old nature.
      (Col 2:16-23, CJB)

I think it is very clear from the above passages also, about which feasts paul was talking about. It is the pagan feasts and religious system of worship, the traditions of men and the elementary matters of this world, not the biblical feasts. As you have pointed out, the Biblical feasts are called YHWH’s Feasts in Leviticus, not the jew’s or man’s, but YHWH’s. In v16 we are told to not let anyone judge us when we ARE keeping and proclaiming the true Feasts of YHWH. These very Feasts are a shadow of the Messiah, He is the substance and the fulfillment of it, and most of the fall feasts have not been fulfilled yet, for example Sukkot which pictures Yeshua and Abba YHWH setting up The Kingdom of Heaven and “tabernacle” or dwell with man for all eternity, what most christians would call “heaven”. This has obviously not happened yet. We never really think about it but almost all of the pagan religions have feasts that honour their god. For example the canaanites had Baal among others, muslims have allah and feasts that praise him. the hindu’s have Shiva and feasts that praise it etc etc. when we begin to grasp what paul really says our picture starts to change and man’s theology starts to drip off.

I have checked out ascension ministries, and i really like his teaching and articles, it is very informative and worth reading.
Thank you once again for your encouragement and friendship.
Shalom and blessings to you and your family.

      1. Thank you so much for those extra verses in the NT. I couldn’t recall which books they were in until you pointed them out. Jesus and Paul opposed the same thing: the doctrines and traditions of men, not the Biblical feasts. This especially makes sense when one considers that the things the Jerusalem council were mostly concerned about involved pagan practices (drinking blood, fornicating with temple prostituest, etc.). Shalom and blessings!
